Scope of Practice

Oral and maxillofacial surgery requires four to six additional years of hospital based surgical and anesthesia training after college and dental school. As oral and maxillofacial surgeons, we manage a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, jaws, and facial region. Drs. Hughes and Bays practice a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery including cosmetic facial surgery, corrective jaw surgery, TMJ surgery, and the surgical removal of teeth. We can also treat facial injuries and perform a full range of oral reconstruction and dental implant procedures.

Oral-Facial Surgery, P.A.'s staff is trained in assisting with I.V. anesthesia within our state of the art office setting. Patients are continuously monitored during and after surgery.
